Tameside Ramblers is part of the Ramblers (formerly known as the Ramblers Association) which is Britain's walking charity. To join Tameside Ramblers, you need to join the Ramblers which you can do either online at ;
or by phone 020 3961 3232. Whichever method you chose, be sure to select Tameside Ramblers as the group you wish to join.
Once you become a member, you can walk with any Ramblers group in the country. You will also receive the quarterly Walk magazine and you can obtain discounts at many high street outdoor gear retailers.
Non-members can join us on up to three walks before being required to join the group.
If you require some advice before deciding on a walk, e.g. to check how hard it is, or what you need to bring, etc, then contact the walk leader.
If getting to the start point is difficult, for example if the programme states there is no public transport and car sharing is recommended, then contact our Walks Co-ordinator who may be able to help.
