ARE YOU FIT ENOUGH?
Please make sure that you are fit enough to undertake the walk you intend to join. Walk leaders may refuse to accept participants who in their opinion are inadequately equipped or unfit. When in doubt, contact the walk leader.

FINISH TIMES
In the winter months, we'll always aim to finish at least an hour before it goes 'dark' to give us a safety factor.
In the event of adverse weather, the Walk leader will modify the walk accordingly.
SOCIAL EVENTS
We also have social events which are always popular and are often open
to friends/partners of members.
ON THE DAY
To join a walk, you will need warm waterproof clothing (jeans are
unsuitable) and walking boots (not trainers or ordinary shoes).
You will also need to bring plenty to drink and a packed lunch (unless
it is one of our occasional summer evening walks). In the summertime a
sunhat and sunglasses can be useful. A comfortable Rucksack to carry
everything will also be needed.
NEW JOINERS
When joining the Ramblers, you will be asked to nominate a Group to be associated with. Your selection can be changed at any time, and even if you nominate Tameside Ramblers you can still walk with other Groups free of charge.
New joiners will recieve a welcome email explaining a bit more about Tameside Ramblers etc
